📘 Creating a Conference

Introduction

A Confer represents an Conference in the Event Management System (Conferrx).
Each Confer contains details such as the event name, theme, venue, schedule, agenda, and supporting documents.
This page explains how to create and manage a Conference.


Steps to Create a Conference

1. Open the Confer Doctype

  • Click Conference in the Dashboard or From the Desk, search for Confer in the Awesomebar.
  • Click New Confer to create a new Conference record.

2. Enter Basic Conference Information

Fill in the following fields:

  • Title → Full name of the Conference.
  • Theme → The main focus or subject of the conference.
  • Abbreviation (Abr) → Short reference name.
  • Venue/Location → Physical or virtual location of the conference.
  • Start Date → Date and time when the conference begins.
  • End Date → Date and time when the conference ends.
  • Time Zone → Local timezone of the conference.

3. Add Agenda

Each Conference includes an Agenda, which is the program schedule.

In the Agenda table, add:
- Program Agenda → Title of the session or activity.
- Start Date → When the session begins.
- End Date → When the session ends.
- (Optional) Scan → scan settings if applicable.


4. Attach Files (Optional)

Use the Attachments section to upload supporting materials, such as:
- Concept papers
- Programme schedules
- Presentations
- Reference documents


5. Save

  • Click Save to store the conference.
